Dubai Square Mall Set to Open in 3 Years With EV-Ready Facilities

Dubai’s next mega-destination is taking shape at Dubai Creek Harbour, with Dubai Square Mall scheduled to open within three years. The project is part of the Dubai Square development and is positioned to become one of the region’s biggest retail and entertainment draws.

Dubai Square Mall is being built at a scale few retail projects can match. Once complete, it is expected to span an area around three times the size of Downtown Dubai, with a development cost of Dh180 billion. Emaar founder Mohamed Alabbar has confirmed that the mall will include dedicated infrastructure for electric vehicles, supporting Dubai’s shift toward smarter, greener mobility.

The destination is being designed as a drive-through retail hub, with AI-powered systems that streamline shopping, wayfinding and customer services. Skylights, LED-driven installations, glazed roofs and floor-to-ceiling glass will create an open, light-filled interior connected to landscaped green spaces.

Dubai Square Mall adds to Emaar’s wider retail portfolio, which includes major city landmarks like The Dubai Mall, Dubai Hills Mall, Dubai Marina Mall, Souk Al Bahar, and The Ranches Souk – each offering its own mix of shopping, dining and entertainment for residents and visitors. The new mall at Creek Harbour aims to push this even further, combining scale, technology and sustainability into what is set to be one of the UAE’s most ambitious retail environments.
