Serpenti has always been about transformation, glamour, and a certain Roman audacity. Now, MB&F’s magicians have coiled those codes into a watch that feels alive. Every angle is the result of Italian opulence fused with futuristic engineering. The case alone demanded hundreds of design drafts, 5-axis machining, and sapphire crystals shaped for both strength and flow.
This watch is a study in undulation and light. Five distinct sapphire crystals, including the serpent’s ‘eyes,’ invite play between reflection and shadow. Every surface feels considered: the main crystal’s stepped edge hints at vintage louvers, crowns evoke wheel hubs, and hexagonal scales recall a miniature engine grille. Even the hand-stitched rubber strap speaks to the union of comfort and sculpture.
Inside, the movement creates a new experience of time. The serpent’s eyes are paper-thin aluminium domes, hand-painted and glowing with Super-LumiNova, quietly rotating to display hours and minutes. Beneath a three-dimensional bridge, a 14mm flying balance wheel spins in full view, with both brand names engraved in tandem. On the back, the power reserve and hand-finished movement are revealed for those who linger, all protected to 30 meters of water resistance – a feat for such a sculptural form.
There are three editions for collectors to choose from – titanium with blue eyes, black PVD with red, or rose gold with green. Each is limited to 33 pieces, and production moves slowly: just six to eight are assembled each month.
On the wrist, the new Serpenti is unmistakable – light and shadow slip along the sapphire, every detail inviting another glance. This is a watch is a reminder that some icons never settle, but change shape, challenge expectations, and hold your attention every time you catch them in the light.
