Dubai Culture Launches ‘Close to You’ to Uplift People of Determination

Rooted in the Authority’s broader commitment to social responsibility, this initiative echoes the goals of the Dubai Government’s ‘ My Community… A City for Everyone’, which envisions a fully inclusive, accessible city for all. The launch marks a new chapter in ensuring that every voice is heard and every talent nurtured within Dubai’s creative ecosystem.

The first step? A heartfelt gathering at Al Safa Art & Design Library, where department leaders, team members of determination, and their families came together for the inaugural annual meeting of Dubai Culture’s People of Determination Council. The session encouraged open dialogue, sparking conversations around accessibility, workplace experience,and the everyday needs of a diverse workforce. Ideas flowed freely, from practical solutions to long-term aspirations, all aimed at fostering a more responsive and supportive environment.

As part of its dedication to inclusion, Dubai Culture also received ten Autism-Friendly Certifications (AFC) from the Dubai Autism Center. These recognitions reflect real progress, from staff training to physical adaptations and services that thoughtfully cater to people of determination.
