The competition invites creatives to design short video or animation pieces that reflect Dubai’s identity, innovation, and cultural spirit. The winning work will be broadcast on the tower and awarded a prize of Dhs100,000.
Submissions are open from May 6 to May 26 and must meet specific technical criteria to be compatible with the tower’s projection system. Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Emaar, described the initiative as an extension of the company’s commitment to public art and cultural programming. 'Burj Khalifa stands not only as a symbol of human achievement, but as a platform for global creativity,' he said.
The Burj Khalifa’s LED shows have previously been used to mark global events and celebrations, but this is the first time members of the public have been invited to contribute to its display.
