Revealed during the Arabian Travel Market, the new destination will feature two bio-domes designed to replicate natural rainforest conditions, creating a space where both insects and humans can thrive. The attraction isn’t limited to butterflies either – visitors will encounter rainforest wildlife including sloths, binturongs (also known as bearcats), caiman crocodiles, and koi carp.
Designed to offer both educational and Instagram-worthy moments, the Butterfly Gardens aims to spark curiosity and raise awareness about global biodiversity. Each dome will offer an up-close look at the intricate relationships between flora and fauna, with zones that allow for peaceful interaction with winged species in naturalistic environments.
Part eco-safari, part conservation space, the Butterfly Gardens is expected to become a go-to spot for families, tourists, and nature lovers alike. The addition of such a unique experience adds to Al Qana’s growing appeal as a major leisure and entertainment destination in the UAE capital.
Butterfly Gardens Abu Dhabi is due to open in September 2025. More details on ticketing and opening hours are expected closer to the launch date.
