Abu Dhabi to Host the 2025 Games of the Future

The Games combine esports with real-world athletic challenges in a new hybrid format known as ‘phygital’ sport. Competitors take part in both digital and physical versions of the same sport, with combined scores determining the winners. From football to tactical games, speed, skill and strategy will be tested in both virtual and physical arenas.

The event will also feature immersive experiences beyond the competitions, including VR zones, AI-driven showcases and interactive fan installations. Visitors can expect a high-tech environment that blends gaming culture with cutting-edge innovation, all within one of the region’s most advanced venues.

More than 2,000 athletes from over 100 countries are expected to compete, making this second edition of the Games a major international event. Organised by ASPIRE and supported by Ethara, the event is set to be one of Abu Dhabi’s most exciting additions to its growing calendar of cultural and entertainment experiences.
