Visitors can expect outdoor installations from international and regional designers, architects and creative collectives, exploring how design can bring people together. Maker Space will host a schedule of hands-on workshops for all ages and skill levels, while the popular Editions fair will showcase limited-edition pieces from 50 galleries, design studios and collectives.
The marketplace will again support local talent, offering homeware, jewellery and fashion alongside food experiences, live performances and family-friendly activities. As part of the Urban Commissions competition, designers have been invited to create outdoor furniture concepts for public spaces, with the winning design set to be realised. The Abwab initiative also returns, presenting emerging voices from Asia and Africa under the theme ‘In the Details’.
The programme will feature exhibitions, talks and discussions with leading global experts, alongside opportunities for visitors to get involved and experience Dubai’s design culture firsthand. Applications for participation are now open on the official Dubai Design Week website.
