The visa exemption is part of Armenia’s wider push to boost tourism, business travel, and cultural exchange with the Emirates. It has already made spontaneous getaways and short stays far easier for UAE-based travellers, many of whom are now taking advantage of the seamless access.
According to Armenia’s Tourism Committee, early data shows a noticeable increase in flight bookings from the UAE, particularly from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, since the policy took effect. Airlines operating direct routes have reported higher passenger loads, indicating strong interest from residents seeking short-haul summer travel options.
UAE residents can stay in Armenia visa-free for up to 90 days within a 180-day period, according to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Travellers must present a valid UAE residence visa and a passport with at least six months’ validity upon arrival.
