Taking place on Saturday, September 20, the event is designed to be more approachable without losing its competitive edge. A small outdoor segment will be included, but most of the action unfolds indoors, offering a welcome break from the heat. Younger athletes can also join the fun, with mini races ranging from 1km to 3km for children aged four to fourteen.
This year’s Spartan races have already drawn thousands across the UAE, with more than 5,500 competitors at Bab Al Shams and over 6,000 at January’s Trifecta weekend in Dubai. Now, the race heads to the capital with the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, adding to the build-up for the annual Spartan World Championship returning in November.
All participants will walk away with a medal, a Spartan t-shirt, and the signature banana at the finish line. Registration is now open for those ready to take on the challenge and experience one of the most intense obstacle events in the region.
