Temperatures across the Red and Green Lines have been optimised to maintain a steady 24 – 25°C, a vital improvement during Dubai’s summer months when outdoor temperatures often soar beyond 40°C. The upgrade promises a more pleasant experience for daily commuters and visitors alike.
A total of 876 ventilation and air conditioning assets have been overhauled, covering 14 stations and two car parks along the busy Red Line. This work was carried out as part of the second phase of the project, ensuring stations and facilities remain cool without disrupting train operations.
The initiative underlines the RTA’s commitment to delivering efficient and comfortable public transport. By improving climate control systems, the Dubai Metro continues to set benchmarks for urban mobility and passenger experience in the region.
