Announced by Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, the project is led by Dubai Culture in collaboration with both public and private partners. It aims to nurture a vibrant environment for music, empower local creatives, and support Dubai’s broader creative economy and social agendas.
The orchestra will introduce a series of youth-driven programmes, community partnerships, and educational opportunities designed to support emerging talent. With a commitment to cultural preservation, the initiative will also shine a light on the region’s musical heritage while cultivating its future.
One of the project’s most striking goals is its pledge to ensure that by 2033, half of the Dubai Orchestra’s members will be Emirati. As more details emerge in the months ahead, the city looks forward to hearing – and celebrating – the first notes of this ambitious cultural milestone.
