The UAE Named Second in the World for Digital Nomads

The UAE has just claimed the second spot globally for digital nomads in 2025, ahead of countries like Hungary and the Bahamas, and just behind Spain. It’s official: this desert oasis is now one of the top places on the planet to live and work remotely.

Thanks to high-speed internet, sunny skies year-round, and visa policies designed for modern workers, the country has steadily climbed the ranks. In 2023, it was fourth. This year, it’s second – a testament to the UAE’s forward-thinking approach to remote work.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi both made the list of top cities for digital nomads, with Dubai leading the pack at Number One and Abu Dhabi coming in strong at Number Four. The remote work visa, first introduced in 2021, allows people to live in the UAE while working for companies overseas – combining global flexibility with local luxury.

The UAE is now more than just a travel destination, from beach clubs and coworking spaces to zero income tax and late-night shawarma runs, it’s a hub for the global workforce.

As the world shifts toward more flexible ways of working, the UAE stands out as a place that truly understands the needs of modern professionals. With smart policies and world-class infrastructure, it’s no wonder remote workers are calling it home.
