Presented by Expo City Dubai in partnership with Dubai Culture, the programme features seven brand-new commissions by three generations of artists, including Fatma Lootah, Mohammed Kazem, Khalid AlBanna, Alia Bin Omair, AlZaina Lootah, Ahmed Al Areef Al Dhaheri and Hessa Alghandi. Each work looks at the spiritual, emotional and artistic threads that shape Emirati identity.
Al Wasl’s 360-degree dome hosts the show, acting as an immersive canvas. Light, sound and movement surround visitors, giving familiar motifs a fresh context and turning the plaza into a walk-through gallery.
Beyond the installations, the House of Arts will run artist talks and public conversations. It’s a chance to hear how the pieces came together, from early references to materials and technique, and to see how personal stories translate into public art.
Admission is free. If you’re planning a visit to Expo City in November, set aside an evening at Al Wasl Plaza — Dhai Dubai is designed to be seen, heard and felt up close.
