Billed as the region’s first forest-integrated retail space, the mall will blend nature, technology, and design to create what the developer calls 'a mall in the forest.' Once complete, it will be Majid Al Futtaim’s 30th shopping centre and its 19th in the UAE, reinforcing the company’s reputation for turning retail into lifestyle experiences.
Early details point to a design inspired by the wider Ghaf Woods master plan – a green, walkable community located along Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. The mall will feature a carefully selected mix of global brands, dining venues, and entertainment zones designed to merge seamlessly with its leafy surroundings.
Ahmed El Shamy, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Development, said the project will redefine what a community mall can be, describing it as 'a landmark nestled within a forested landscape' that reflects the company’s long-term commitment to sustainability and human-centred design.
While the mall’s opening date has yet to be announced, Ghaf Woods itself will unfold in eight phases through 2031. When it does open, Dubai’s shoppers may find their new favourite destination surrounded not by trees.
