The recognition highlights the airport’s 163 retail and dining outlets spread across 37,500 square metres, positioning it as one of the world’s leading shopping destinations for travellers. It follows last year’s honour as the 'World’s Most Beautiful Airport' at the Prix Versailles, further cementing AUH’s international reputation for excellence.
Elena Sorlini, Managing Director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, said the award reflects years of work to make Zayed International a benchmark for innovation and guest experience. 'These recognitions reaffirm our belief that airports can enrich, delight, and embody the spirit and ambition of Abu Dhabi,' she said.
Since reopening under its new name in early 2024, Zayed International has become a key gateway to the capital, welcoming millions of passengers through its futuristic terminal known for its striking architecture, seamless design, and hospitality-driven approach to travel.
