Under the new Public Parks and Greenery Strategy, more than 800 projects will reshape Dubai’s urban landscape, including 310 new parks and 120 open spaces. By 2040, the city aims to triple its number of trees, extend green areas to 187 square kilometres, and ensure that 80 per cent of residents live within a five-minute walk of a park. Annual park visits are expected to reach 95 million, with all irrigation powered by 100 per cent recycled water to advance sustainability goals.
Aviation remains another pillar of the plan. Through the new 'Aviation Talent 33' programme, Dubai will create 15,000 new jobs and offer 4,000 training programmes to strengthen the local talent pool. Thirty new partnerships with global aviation companies will also help prepare Emiratis for leadership roles at major airports, including Al Maktoum International.
Education and healthcare are set for major upgrades too. Sixty new affordable schools will open by 2033, adding 120,000 student places and expanding access to quality education. In healthcare, the Early Detection Services initiative will boost screening and vaccination rates while cutting appointment waiting times to under a week. Meanwhile, the introduction of a new Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Court will make it easier for companies to recover and grow, and a comprehensive sports strategy will further position Dubai as a global hub for fitness, talent, and international events.
