Travellers can expect festive touches from the moment they board. Emirates will serve hot chocolate between December 17–26, and offer limited-edition treats from December 24–26 across all cabins. Economy passengers will find dark-chocolate truffles on their trays, Premium Economy and Business travellers get homemade gingerbread, and First Class guests are treated to a raspberry Paris-Brest pastry created just for the season.
Holiday menus are taking centre stage too. The traditional Christmas spread has been adapted for onboard dining – think roast turkey with chestnut stuffing, truffle potato gratin, and caramelised Brussels sprouts – alongside winter dishes such as herb-crusted lamb shank and duck confit glazed with cranberry jus. Desserts bring their own festive flair, from rich fruit cake to mousse and a Santa-themed strawberry-and-cream creation for First Class.
The airline’s A380 Onboard Lounge is getting the festive treatment as well, with mince pies, stollen, macarons and Christmas sandwiches available during flights. And for those who want holiday ambience without the calories, the inflight entertainment line-up includes 39 Christmas films, over 40 festive TV specials, and seasonal playlists featuring artists from Frank Sinatra to Sam Smith.
December celebrations coincide with what is shaping up to be a major upgrade cycle for the airline. Emirates has begun rolling out Starlink Wi-Fi across its entire 232-aircraft fleet – bringing high-speed connectivity to future festive seasons – and has entered the next phase of its multibillion-dollar retrofit programme, with 60 A380s and 51 Boeing 777sscheduled for cabin enhancements.
