Customs at Dubai Airport Now Takes Less Than Four Minutes

Passengers at Dubai International Airport (DXB) can now self-declare commercial goods, personal belongings, or cash using the online iDeclare app. This innovative application allows travelers to complete their customs declarations even before arriving at the airport, significantly reducing the time spent at customs control.

Previously, waiting times in queues could take up to 45 minutes, especially during peak hours. Now, it's as simple as scanning a barcode on your smartphone, and the process takes less than four minutes. The app is available for download on the App Store and Google Play, supporting multiple languages to cater to international passengers.

This initiative is part of Dubai's ambition to become a 'smart city,' implementing advanced technologies to enhance service quality. With iDeclare, passengers can declare valuable items, restricted goods, and cash amounts exceeding the legal limit in advance, avoiding delays and simplifying the customs clearance process.
